I WISH I COULD SAY THAT MY BEGINNING INTO BURLESQUE WAS LIKE A JUDY GARLAND SONG "I WAS BORN IN A TRUNK," BUT ONLY IN MY FANTASY IS THAT TRUE.
It was only by chance, that as an impoverished University of Oregon student I answered a help wanted ad for topless go go girls, no experience necessary in the early 1970's, and that was the beginning of a rollicking, exciting and lucrative career.
Some of the greatest names in burlesque came through that small town night club, and I stood in the wings and watched, and I listened, and oh the questions I asked!!
Perhaps they saw the stars in my eyes, or it was my sheer persistence to learn this magic art, but I had the amazing good fortune to be mentored throughout my almost 20yr, internationally acclaimed career by some of the greatest burlesque entertainers in the world.
Now as the facilitator of the Art of Burlesque I wish to share with you my expertise, my wisdom and my passion, with playfulness, fun and respect.
